Choice Paralysis is when a person is unable to take action due to blockages in decision making. This can come from having more options than a human can handle or just being in a state of overwhelm. Feeling overwhelmed is a commonly used term today. It is sadly becoming an accepted and normal part of modern life. Overwhelm, when not addressed, contributes to our health degenerating.
Some steps to resolve Choice Paralysis, also referred to as the identification with feeling overwhelmed.
EFT Emotional Freedom Technique
One way to simplify life is by combining meditation with a technique called EFT. There is a great deal of information online showing the EFT process. One of my favorites is link here. EFT, in my opinion, is a great way to calm down the mind chatter by making it okay to consciously chatter away. By actually hearing what your unbridled mind is saying you can then begin to hear the voice that is really running your show all day long.
The subject of REBIRTHING deserves a great deal of attention. I am mentioning it here because of how important breathing is to feeling clear minded. Overwhelm can be kept in check and eventually put to rest with conscious breathing.link here. Conscious breathing is one very important way to not be a victim of our emotional reactions to what happens in our lives. More on Rebirthing in the future, but for now just taking THREE DEEP BREATHS A DAY OR WHENEVER YOU REMEMBER will begin a new habit that will becomes a constant ally.
SIMPLIFY THE DIET
Wherever you are with your eating it really helps to eat fewer ingredients in each meal to make digestion smoother. Also, familiarize yourself with PROPER FOOD COMBINING. link here. Some other information has been mentioned in previous blog posts that will be really helpful in educating and reminding all of us not be the victim of our choices around food. Increasing the amount of raw food in the diet can be really helpful because of the amount of enzymes that are available in food that is not cooked. Is raw food is hard for you to digest? Stick with lightly steamed foods, chew well and take some digestive enzymes before eating.

HAVE SOME FUN
If this seems like a foreign or impossible idea then all the above steps can lead you to a place of being able to have fun without the use of stimulants, drugs or food. Sex with a partner or ourselves is a really important and one that is not discussed enough within the context of basic health.
Do something. It’s not the 1950’s. People know about the benefits of exercise, and it does not have to be strenuous. I felt compelled to mention it here.
DIET AND SUPPLEMENTS ARE OFTEN THE FOCUS OF ADVICE TO RESOLVE OVERWHELM. This focus can be an extension of the western medical paradigm that treats everything with a pill. Many “alternative” health advisors replace drugs with herbs, vitamins and superfoods. These things are an important part of the package. Emotional healing is also an essential part of physical healing. Being aware of how we respond to what comes our way by feeling our responses is key. The only way to do that is feel more calm and be present. Eliminating junk food, refined sugar,highly caffeinated beverages, soda etcetera is, in my view, essential for this process to succeed long term.
