OIL OF TARA: TOPICAL TREATMENT FOR CELLULITE, SPIDER AND VARICOSE VEINS

THE POWER OF ESSENTIAL OILS

Oil of  Tara is an Ayurvedic oil blend that I found over the internet earlier this year. Their oil and other products are handcrafted by this “mom and pop” company in Massachusetts. All the products are made in exceptionally small batches. The quality is highly controlled.

SELF MASSAGE WORKS WHEN DONE REGULARLY

I have used Oil of Tara and found it to have toning qualities for the skin and deeper tissues. I have also witnessed the lessening of the appearance of spider veins. The quality of the product is apparent by its scent, and how easily it absorbs. It is not greasy. They have a very attractive website with more information [link here] on all their products.

OTHER IDEAS FOR HEALING THE VASCULAR SYSTEM

Diet, exercise, cellular cleansing, dry body brushing are necessary for the improvement of poor – sluggish circulation. All that leads to a more positive attitude and feeling  better. This, of course, really contributes to improved health. Bottom line is that spider veins, cellulite and varicosities are an indication that something deeper, in terms of health, needs to be addressed. Medically injecting them or using a topical treatment is not a long term solution.

Postscript: Since writing this post I found The Unique Healing Program Donna Pessin. If you are interested in making a deep change in your overall health visit her site. I am currently doing this  program.  The Unique Healing Program addresses the entire body by improving gut health. It is a nonsense approach. This program is NOT a magic bullet. [link here].

At the age of ten I distinctly remember questioning the premise that illness just happens to us. The idea that every action has a reaction became a clear reason to doubt that I could not personally impact my own health. In my very early twenties I was introduced to the Macrobiotic Philosophy of Life and assisted a Macrobiotic Counselor in NYC over a period of ten years or more. My life took many twists and turns and I evolved from a trained dancer and performer to a Shiatsu Therapist, Yoga Teacher, Colon Therapist and student of different Spiritually oriented Mind Body Therapies at the Esalen Institute and other healing centers. My associations are as follows: Member of the AOBTA for over 20 Years Member of the NCCAOM for approximately 12 years Member of the Yoga Teachers Alliance 500 hours for approximately 12 years Colon Therapist [ Wood's Institute ] Since 1998 Along with studying REIKI [ 2nd degree ] I was part of a School based on the work of Railey Macey, Dr. Robert Jaffe and Hands of Light. Railey Macey was my teacher. Thank you for your interest in my blog. notyourrawmoma "Wherever you are be the soul of that place". Rumi

  1. Hi folks. You made me proud today, as I have personally blended every ounce of Oil of Tara by hand from ingredients I’ve sourced from suppliers I can trust. You mention the macrobiotic community in your background bio, which is familiar to me as my little publishing company became the location for New Age magazine in the early 1970’s , founded by East West Journal folks who wanted a larger format. I knew macrobiotic leader Michio Kushi, and I know two current Kushis. I’m sure he’d approve.

Oil of Tara has been “pop” since mom and I divorced in 2005. Dr. Shankaran is still a very good friend, alive and well in London, and the various oil blended remedies she’d formulates are still sought after by friends. At latest count we’ve sold about 6,000 ounces with less than a dozen returned. Since I’m a semi-retired Harvard MBA I know very well that the average company doesn’t make the owner stick on labels, or keep the inventory in sealed mason jars in the refrigerator. “More than a hobby, less than a business” I say. Ironically, as a consultant one of my clients was India’s largest ayurvedic firm, with a large pharmaceutical line – but there’s a lot more modern medical science in Oil of Tara than Ayurveda. What I enjoy the most is hearing from individuals like yourself, and thank you for you kind words, it’s worth more than the money. Incidentally, for guys its a great aftershave – and I use it all the time.
